At their December 15, 2025 meeting, the Collinsville CUSD 10 Board of Education honored KAHOKstrong for organizing a food drive to help local families needing food assistance.  

In November, KAHOKstrong saw a growing number of families in our community needing food assistance due to issues with SNAP benefits and the suspension or loss of employment.  They spontaneously organized a drive to collect nonperishable food and promoted monetary donations to support the Collinsville Food Pantry.

Over a few weeks, they gathered more than one thousand pounds of food at collection boxes located throughout our district and at local businesses.  

KAHOKstrong sponsor Toni Geisen thanked a dedicated team of community volunteers, as well as CUSD 10 schools and local businesses, for helping to accomplish the successful food drive on short notice.  

KAHOKstrong is a student-based organization that was created to assist students, staff, and families in the Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 community during times of tragedy.  Use this link for more information and to make a donation in support of their efforts.
