At their July 21, 2025 regular monthly meeting, the CUSD 10 Board of Education honored CHS drama students and members of the Kahok Special Olympics team. 

CHS Students Earn Superior Designation at 2025 International Thespian Festival
Four Collinsville High School students competed in the Theatre Excellency Awards at the International Thespian Festival in June and all received a superior ranking.  In addition, Nathalia Lebron-Suarez was named to the 2026 All-State production for crew.

The students and their categories are:
Mya Parker, solo musical performance 
Nathalia Lebron-Suarez, scenic design
Holiday Johnson, scenic design 
Ailee Murphy, solo acting 

Kahoks Excel in Special Olympics Summer Games
Eli Pollard - bronze medal in tennis ball throw
Maliyah Pfeil - gold medal in softball throw; 7th in 50m run
Bethany McCullar - 6th in 50m run
Brandon McCullar - gold medal in softball throw
Kole Hopkins - gold medal in 50m run
Maddi Blakeburn - 7th in 50m run
Ethan Gafford - gold in tennis ball throw 

All students received a certificate  of recognition signed by Board President Gary Peccola and Superintendent Dr. Mark B. Skertich.
